The Economic Empowerment Program aims to strengthen the economic resilience of vulnerable community members, particularly women and youth, through practical training and entrepreneurship support. The program provides access to vocational and technical skills training in areas such as tailoring, agribusiness, crafts, and digital entrepreneurship, helping participants develop marketable skills that lead to self-employment or improved job opportunities. Participants also receive financial literacy education, learning how to manage income, save responsibly, and access financial services such as savings groups and microcredit initiatives.
Beyond individual capacity building, the program promotes entrepreneurship and small business development by offering mentorship, startup support, and business incubation opportunities. It also encourages collaboration between refugee and host communities, fostering inclusive economic growth and peaceful coexistence. Through this initiative, participants gain not only the tools to achieve financial independence but also the confidence and knowledge to become change-makers in their families and communities—reducing poverty, improving well-being, and contributing to sustainable development.
